Having a baby

[SOURCE]

There are two Llamas that I watched being born.  It was perhaps one of the most profound moment of my life, twice.  I have relished the sound of the little llamas in my life.

Child birth is not pretty, even when it goes well.  It’s messy, it hurts and it can go so very wrong.  The christians like Peter Heck in his blog think that god did it.  He probably thinks that birth is part of intelligent design.

Let me tell you Peter Heck.  There is nothing intelligent about birth.  Once the sex bit and conception is over this little cell starts to divide and grow.  Inside it’s mother.  Not in a sensible place like a cocoon or an egg sack hanging from the bedroom door.  Then when the baby is cooked, its squeezed out with a great deal of pain through a narrow gap and born.  There is nothing intelligent about that at all.  Any god that would design such a system is a bastard.

It is either the height of arrogance or ignorance (perhaps both) to believe that such an event could have ever happened spontaneously and without intentional design.

I don’t know of anyone who thinks birth happens spontaneously.  To think that your god did the whole child birth intentionally just goes to show what a fucked up superior being he is.

And just to show what a jerk he really is he says this:

Please understand that I mean no deliberate disrespect to those who have made the decision to live in rebellion to that which is patently obvious.

How deliberately disrespectful that is.

I wonder why these would be christians are so stupid when it comes to the way the world works.  There is nothing clever about the birth process.  It’s taken hundreds of thousands of years to get to where it is, and the only reason we do it this way is because of evolution.  It’s a shit of a system.  The results are quite good, but getting there……

Human babies are prematurely delivered at 9 months because if they went full-term (two years give or take), they would kill their mother due to the size of the skull exceeding the size of the birth canal. The reason the female hips are not big enough to allow the baby to grow full term is because they evolved to be narrower to allow her to stand erect, rather than on all fours.

That is not an intelligent design but rather evolution allowing the mother to walk on two legs at the cost of delivering premature off-spring.
