Europe throws open its borders! Yahoo I say. 400 million citizens of European countries can now travel unhindered through Europe.
Its about time we came to realise that we are just people of the same stock. The artificial barriers that we place around ourselves are to keep out people of different language or religion. This is surely the way to build mistrust and suspicion.
We must learn to share the wealth of the nations with all people on the earth. You don’t need a god or a government to realise that the best way to peace on earth is to simply treat everyone the way you would like to be treated. I know that sounds like something little desert wandering jesus once said, but I think you’ll find its part of our social conditioning. The only way to get on it this life is to behave and treat others in a way that causes them to respond in the same way – like you need to be a god to work that out. You know its the truth. Our trouble (that’s our as in humanity) is that we are also greedy – we look out for ourselves while balancing that against our social need of cooperation.
As I’ve said before, its time to share the wealth, there’s enough here for everyone – I mean really, why does the Western world need to accumulate so much while our developing world neighbours die from starvation or preventable illnesses?
