Parliment of World Religions is a deception!

Oh the joy of it all, I haven’t had this much fun since the pope came to town.1

Over at Catch the Fire Ministries they’ve gone and got their knickers in a knot about the Parliament of World Religions. They don’t think that any christian should be there… and why not?  Because there is only one god and all of this is a deception.  (Well they got that bit right)  So worried by this concept of bringing people of different faiths together that they want the faithful to pray:

We ask you to pray that:
-  the truth of Jesus Christ and the Christian gospel is heard and that people from other religions are challenged about Jesus Christ as the only way to God the Father..
- people won’t absorb the ‘interfaith’ message.

They’re just not getting into the spirit of it at all.

And of course, this is just what I said yesterday – there can be no peace in the world while each religion thinks that it alone has the truth.  They want people to pray that attendees won’t absorb the ‘interfaith’ message.  How much more intolerance do you need?

You can even be a witness!

2. BE A WITNESS!
The Committee is planning a ’silent witness’ outside the Melbourne Convention Centre each morning of the PWR – from 7.30 am to 9.30 am. We need at least four people each day to hold two banners proclaiming the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour.

So get yourself down there and hold up a couple of signs, it’s a sure way to get yourself into heaven.

Increasingly over the last twenty years or so, Australians have been confronted by so-called “inter-faith” religious gatherings. Many have been held to commemorate those who have been caught up in some tragic event.  But given the fact that Australia was founded as a Christian nation, the notion of “inter-faith” gatherings is unacceptable, and intellectually dishonest.

I’m nearly splitting myself laughing here.  Somebody that actually believes in virgin births, coming back from the dead and walking on water has the audacity to talk about intellectual dishonesty.  Honestly!  How good does it get?

And what’s the crap with Australia being a christian nation, we’re a mixed bunch of mostly heathens from many backgrounds.  Oh the sheer arrogance of it all.

Have a look at Sean the Blogonaut, he talks about the crowds and how the numbers are down

I love the parliament of world religions, it has highlighted to me just how warped all religions really are.

  1. I do find it funny that the victorian government will spend money on developing harmony, but at the slightest whiff that some racial stereotyping, or immigrant bashing will get you re elected and that harmony gets ushered through the back door
