As if the world hasn’t enough to worry about, the stupid pricks at the Westboro church are making the news again. You can check out their latest press releases about Australia on their website, you know the one. God hates fags, or their sister brother site (its so much more fagotty) godhatestheworld.com and click on Australia. There you can listen and watch Freddy-poo rave on about how he’s rejoicing that the hundreds of Australians are burning and wants more of us to burn. How christian of him.
Stupid toe rags like him are a clear example of why religion should be purged from this earth.

People carry on about Marx saying “Religion is the opiate of the masses”. Not quite so. Marx wrote a critique of Hegel’s “Philosophy of Right” which itself is a cracking good read.
What Marx really wrote was: “Religious distress is at the same time the expression of real distress and the protest against real distress. Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of a spiritless situation. It is the opium of the people. The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is required for their real happiness. The demand to give up the illusion about its condition is the demand to give up a condition which needs illusions.”
He was sort of wrong and right. Religion does not make people feel better because of a “better place” after death… Religion is all about letting the dogs of hatred and intolerance and violence off the leash.
Religion pretends to say that you can feel better in this life because there is a better life to come. It is a con. Religion is really telling people to feel better because there are people who do not “believe” and are therefore inferior to us. We can feel superior to them, oppress them, hurt them and even kill them and still be “good people”.
Marx was dead right that religion is “illusory happiness” and the abolition of religion being the only true path of real happiness.
To all religious idiots: Read “The God Delusion” by Richard Dawkins and get a grip. This is the only life you will get. Make the most of it. Don’t waste it or fuck it up worshiping a delusion.
