Pope Protests

Source

People protesting about the Pope coming to town.  Should be a hoot.  I like the name of the group – NoToPope Coaltion – they’re going to distribute condoms during the youth week thingy.  I reckon some of those horny catholic bastards will need them.

“By calling homosexuality an objective disorder, and saying gay sex is evil, Pope Benedict nurtures bigotry and violence, not love,” notes organizer Luke Roberts.  Luke has got it right you know.  Why are religions allowed to spread this sort of disgusting hate, based purely on their interpretation of a book  that they disregard whole swags of?  (You know, we don’t stone our naughty children any more….).  Its faith by picking and choosing the bits you like out of the rule book, bugger the rest.

The thing that still gets me about the whole World Youth Day is how much its going to cost the tax payer.  Millions.  This is the catholic church we’re talking about, more money that you can poke a bloody great big stick at.  Its sickening.

I wonder if they’ll get their 225,000 people, as predicted.

The Pope sleeps in a bejewelled bed and travels hyper first class around the world while most of his followers struggle to keep a roof over their heads and food in their children’s mouths.
Sinead O’Connor was right. “This is the face of true evil”.
They cover up sex scandals and child abuse and then tell rape victims that aborting their rapist’s baby is a sin. Talk about hypocrisy!
Jesus sat down with the prostitutes and the beggars. He threw the money lenders from the Temple. He fought against the Imperialist Roman invaders. The Pope does not represent Jesus. He stands for everything Jesus opposed. Why can’t people see that?

I agree – it is simply obscene to spend so much money on the World Youth Day when so much of that money should be better directed to the poor and needy, not a bunch of rich white kids. I’d be happy with a couple of jewels from the popes bed.

well julie deakin, I THINK YOUR VIEWS ARE A LITTLE SIMPLISTIC AND OBVIOUSLY AN UNINFORMED MORINIC VIEW. GO AND GET YOURSELF EDUCATED AND SOME REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE

  4. mandy jones says:

furthermore, I have noticed your inflated opinion popping up on a number of websites inwhich your obvious lack of education is evident. People such as yourself are in my belief with their radical and uninformed views to which they spruke to anyone who will listen. Get a job Julie Deakin
