Hand out for Bishop

[SOURCE]

Resplendent in his red dress, the bishop of Ferns, hitched up his skirt and asked his faithful followers to cough up some money to help pay for all the priests in Ireland who abused boys.

That’s right.  The big rich catholic church won’t sell any of it’s assets or borrow money from a bank, it’d sooner set up a repayment scheme where the everyday parishioners make contributions for the next twenty years.

The church in Ireland has been rocked by the scandal.  For years the church has moved priests around and denied any problem.  They knew full well that there was more going on behind the altar, and sometimes on the altar, than should be.

It’s time to pack up the catholic church and put it away.  Sell it off, force it to compensate all its victims, lock up every bishop and pope who contributed to the sex scandal and let the rest of Ireland move forward in the knowledge that they live in a caring democracy, not some bizarre church run, knees bent, hands together, sexual abusive priesthood state.

Bishop Denis lives very well, but seems determined not to give up anything, he’s remortgaged his home, no doubt a lovely palace, but hasn’t yet sold his miter and gold jeweled walking stick.  Quite happy to have the masses pay for the mistakes of the church, as long as he doesn’t have to give anything up!   So, if you’re a member of this ancient institution it’s time to cough up some money, or perhaps it’s time to leave and watch the bloody thing sink!
