I had some fast food yesterday. Did a drive through. I’ve gotta say, what a waste of time that set up is. When I’m ordering food, why can’t I see the person I’m talking to. What advantage is there to having to yell into a little black box – its so unnecessary. Even worse because I then have to drive to a window to pay, and guess what, the guy who took my order, you know, got the headset and little microphone on, and while getting my change is taking the next order, so he’s talking to some one else and not paying attention to me.
Just to further complicate the matter, I now have to drive to a second window to pick the order up. Now I’m sure that some smarty pants wobbly arse has decided that this is the best way to do it, but hey, I just want to talk to a person so I can see he’s understood my order, so I can smile at them and perhaps share a nice little joke.
